Company recalls hundreds of thousands of insulin pumps

Insulin pump maker Medtronic has issued a Class I recall for more than 400,000 insulin pump devices. Texas residents who suffer from type 1 diabetes may be affected by this recall, which has been categorized as the most serious form of recall as the defective medical devices may cause serious injury or death to those who use them. Reports indicate that the defective insulin pumps may administer the wrong dose of insulin to users.
